Are you interested in joining Antrim Credit Union?

Becoming a member of Antrim Credit Union is simple, providing that you live within our common bond, which includes anywhere within a 10-mile radius from Antrim.

We'll take personal details and then print off completed forms for you to sign. We'll also need two forms of identification; one must be photographic (passport/driving license) and one proof of address (most recent bank statement).

Please be prepared to answer a number of questions to complete an identity profile which we can store for various legal records. Information we ask for will include details such as National Insurance Number, contact details and GDPR consent.

If you're unsure of what qualifies as address verification, you can send us a message to clarify. However, your latest bank statement is always the safest bet when it comes to valid address verification.

In the case of all your bank statements and details being online, there are always options in place for getting these printed at home, but if you want to email them to us, we'll still be able to process them.

Junior Members

When it comes to signing up your little ones for savings accounts, all we need to see is a form of identification.

Junior ID is accepted in the form of valid passports and long birth certificates. We only need one, so don't worry about rummaging around for both of them!

Please note that only a parent or guardian of a junior member can open an account for them. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and others not considered legal guardians are no longer able to open accounts for junior members.

Junior members are those under the age of 16. When juniors turn 16, their accounts are changed to adult accounts and they are notified to sign for the change by mail. After the age of 16, members have control of their own accounts.

Membership Requirements

Valid photographic ID

Driving licences, passports, bus passes and national identity cards can be used for this. We also accept electoral identity cards.

Proof of current address, valid to within the last three months

Recent bank statements, recent utility bills and dated government letters can be accepted for this. We do not accept mobile pone bills.

For new junior members (younger than 16)

Identification proof

This includes passports and long birth certificates. Short birth certificates and other forms of non-photographic ID cannot be accepted. National identity cards can be accepted.

A legal parent or guardian

A legal parent or guardian to be present and added to the account as responsible for the depositor.
